GDPR Policy

Waterford Insulation is committed to protecting and safeguarding your personal data. As part of this commitment, we are contacting you to let you know about some changes to our Privacy Policy. We have updated our privacy policy to meet the high standards of the new European data protection law, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We encourage you to read our privacy policy as this notice explains how we collect, use and share personal information in the course of our business activities. Hopefully, it will answer any questions you may have.

So, what is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)?

The GDPR is an update to existing data protection law and comes into effect across the EU on the 25th May 2018. The GDPR gives individuals in the EU more control over how their data is used and sets obligations for businesses like ours that process customer information. Being transparent in how we manage your personal data is a key part of the GDPR.

What personal data do we collect?
The types of personal information we collect when you become a customer includes, but is not limited to:

  • Your name

  • Your title

  • Your address (company or personal)

  • Your contact details including email address and telephone number

  • Any other data deemed necessary for the purposes of doing business with us

Personal data will be retained as long as you remain a customer, thereafter for a period of generally no more than six years or where we have a legal obligation to do so.

How do we use your data?

It is necessary to process your personal data to enter into and perform our contract with you as a customer of Waterford Insulation or perform our contract with you for our services. We will use your data for the purposes of retaining records of business transactions.

Who is your data shared with?
Your data is secure with Waterford Insulation. Personal information shared with us will only ever be used by us and trusted partners/third party service providers that perform services and functions on our behalf such as our accountants, business advisors, IT service providers, printers, and providers of security and administration services. Before engaging with any third-party service provider, we will satisfy ourselves that they have in place the appropriate organisational and technical measures to keep your personal information safe.

What rights do you have?
You have rights under the GDPR, including the right to receive a copy of your personal data that we hold and the right to object to us processing your data, in part or in its entirety. Waterford Insulation can provide a hard copy of the information we have stored at your request. Contact us either by email or by post to obtain this information.

The options we offer include how to access and update the data. We guarantee in all cases the right of access, rectification, cancellation, information and opposition, in the terms provided in the current legislation.

You may exercise your rights by sending your request along with a copy of your ID through the following:

Our privacy policy may be modified at any time. We will post all modifications to our privacy policy on our website and, if they are significant, we will make a more prominent notification (for example, we will send a notification by email if the modification affects certain services).
